Review: Racy Rendezvous

The Link: http://sexxxmarksthespot.blogspot.com/?zx=1c95cd61f9ac7da0

So I am not sure you can count this as a full review or not, as I didn’t read right up to the current post. But I do have a reason(s).

I found this blog exhausting to read. It was all over the place and up and down emotionally, I was emotionally spent trying to keep up and get into the blog. That said, perhaps if I hadn’t read entry after entry, I may not have felt that way.

I found the writing OK and the descriptions good. As for the sexual content, the scenes were descriptive, edging on graphic; with imagination you could put yourself in the scenes, (I'm not saying you want to, I'm just "saying"). I personally am not crazy about swear words, or the graphic content.... I prefer cleaner writing but that is IMO, but each to their own.

I will not keep reading it, and therefore can't recommend it. It just wasn't for me, and I must admit it made me glad not to be 19 again:)-Jen

I agree with Jen on this blog. Very sexually explicit. It may be fun to read with your partner, but alone it's not for me. Also it is all over the place, more of a personal journal than a sex blog. I wouldn't recommend it even if you are into sex blogs. Not enough action. I also don't like the cussing and crude language. You can be sexy without being gross.

As We Lay ... Blog Review

I have read the "As We Lay" blog, and I have to say overall, I like the blog, but at times, I do find it to be a bit confusing. References to certain people that should be others, etc., but after taking a few minutes to re-read a paragraph here and there, I figured it out.

The story seems to be really good, with lots of twists. I like the possibilities that could come from this story.

The grammar and punctuation could use a little work, but it's not something that would keep me from reading.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this blog! I am now a follower!

---------------

As We Lay-Review
I started reading this blog not long after she started. It was one of
my “filler” reads, and I find that the story has come a long way. The
story is interesting, has lots of potential, and a good read.
I, personally, don’t find it has the same “gotta check for an update”
feeling as Macyn and Nothing More than Apathy. However it definitely
could turn into one in the future.
As a follower, I would recommend checking out this blog!

Macyn

The Link: http://macynmcintyre.blogspot.com/?zx=1e20c6d724abd1de
Ok I guess I'll start. We are going to review the new blog Macyn. This blog is updated 5 days a week, so if you like frequent updates this one may be for you. I am really enjoying this blog. The author has stated that she is unsure of her writing skills but I do think her writing is really good, although I am not an English teacher and I don't really think that blogs should be reviewed in such a light as the authors are amateurs and the posts are usually unedited. Back to Macyn. So far only three characters have been introduced, one briefly, but I do like the character descriptions that have been given. I kind picture what each character looks like. The storyline is good, very interesting with a lot of unanswered questions that we can look forward to finding out the answers. In fact the only thing that I can criticise is that the story does seem a bit predictable. And I'm sure the author will prove me wrong on that one. Overall I highly recommend this blog. (Two thumbs up)

Alright, here's my opinion on the Macyn blog:

I agree with the fact that it is a little predictable. However, I do realize that it just started, therefore I'm kind of with everyone else, where I'm expecting a twist in things. I also have a personal pet peeve when people don't use contractions when writing. It's not a major thing, just my own little annoyance, and I feel like a lot of times in the Macyn blog, she doesn't use a lot of contractions, which can read in my head a little robotic and fake at times. It's a minor thing, and I think I'm a little nutty for noticing it, lol. Over all, I do like the storyline, and I of course love frequent postings, especially since it seems like most of the blogs I read have cut down on their posting schedules. I can't really comment on how the author treats the readers, mainly because I don't tend to read the comments (it's been a busy couple of weeks, so I read and move on!) So, I don't know if there's been comment beef or not. But, I do think from talking to the author personally that it does seem like she would handle any negative comments well.

Overall, I would say it's a good read. I'm hanging in to see what'll happen next!

--Blog Reviewers Biographies--

Hi guys-

We plan on starting a blog review blog, where you can find blogs, suggest blogs, and voice your honest opinion on other blogs without anyone editing your comments (as long as they're respectful and mature. But remember, someone may like a blog that you don't, or vice versa, people are free to voice whatever opinion they have on blogs) We're going to play this by ear and see how it goes, we may be changing things up, but we'd like your opinions and suggestions. Here are the main reviewer's brief bio's so you can get to know a little about us. Check back because we'll be editing to add more reviewer's bio's. Also, we're trying to figure out which blogs we should review first. Leave your suggestions for the blog in the comments please!

I'm ~S~ and I'm the author of the blog, Macyn McIntyre.

I am 31 years old, married, and the mother of 3.

I love reading in general, but my favorite author is David Baldacci. My favorite blogs are: The Karen Chronicles and Nothing More Than Apathy

My husband works out of town, so the majority of my time is spent tending/caring for our 3 kids. I started my blog because of a writing class, and I have found writing to be very relaxing, but when I find it to become a hinderance, I will stop. My one pet peeve is being interrupted. Overall, I'm a pretty laid-back person, who goes with the flow.

I'm Laura, I have a blog, Nothing More Than Apathy.

I'm 23 years old (24 in January), I'm married (2 years in Feb.), I have one little boy (Just turned a year in Sept.)

I read a lot, Wally Lamb and Sarah Dessen are two of my favorite authors. I liked the twilight series, but I didn't think it was very well written. I also loved the book Water For Elephants. I started my blog out of boredom and frustration with other blogs. I think it's unfair to censor people and their opinions. My pet peeves are bad liars (I don't like liars in general, but when you're bad at it? It's even more annoying.) I'm highly opinionated and I like to talk.

Ok, I am probably doing this wrong lol. Anyhoo, My name is Laura, and to not be confused with the author of "Apathy" I go by Laura B

I love to read but don't have much time to, which is what got me into blogs. I started with Cosmo's Bedroom Blog and have added various blogs to my reading such as my new fav Nothing more than Apathy, I also read fifteen miles to Utopia, The chronicles of Karen, the new blog Macyn, I think that's it.

I love books by Sue Grafton, Patricia Cornwell, James Patterson, Sandra Brown.

I don't watch much TV, I'm very busy with my 12 year daughter and going back to college. I also have an 18 year old son.

Movies I like are typical "girly movies" romantic comedies, I also like suspension, thrillers, even horror.

Hi, My name is Jen and I reside in NS, Canada. I am a stay at home mom of two and home school as well. We are on our 3rd year and loving it.

I started reading blogs about a year ago, and started with Cosmo’s Bedroom Blog. I got a bit fed up with the posting schedule and then other blogs were listed in the comments…so I went off to discover them. Some of my favorites are Nothing More Than Apathy and 15 Miles from Utopia.

I love to read; I will read any writer once and absolutely love murder mysteries. I also like fantasy, love stories, detective, crime investigation etc. Pretty much anything with a good story, I have a tendency to get lost in a good story and not notice grammar/spelling and the like.

Besides reading, I like to watch Criminal Minds, Bones, Numbers, Law & Order, and Law & Order CI. I am in love with my PVR, as I watch while I fold laundry. *smile* As for movies, music and books, I like a bit of everything.

Basically I am a go with the flow person, who only makes waves on issues I feel are important enough to make those waves!

My name is Delia.
I am a female, transitioning from singlehood to coupledom.
I work full time and read blogs when things get a little stressful or slow at work.

I enjoy a pleatra of books. I enjoy british lit like Brigit Jones Diary - the books, Ms. Greene and Jane Austen. I also enjoy murder mysteries like Mary Higgins Clark.
